Marquita Pring | Vogue.it Spring 2011
There are no shortage of Condé Nast publications or for that matter Web properties. Amongst the many, however Vogue Italia‘s own portal, Vogue.it, is fairly unique in its production of original video portraits that are not only well produced, but actually watchable from play to play again. The other week a video portrait of Ford+’s Marquita Pring by director Tommaso Cardile surfaced on the site and provided a brief, but intriguing look at one of the hottest rising stars in modeling today. Marquita’s relatively new career has already seen her walk for Jean Paul Gaultier and land a Levi’s campaign. In this video, Marquita puts paid to the assumption that curvy is even a half size shy of stylish by wearing various Delfina Pinardi-styled looks comprised from designers Max Azria, Alexis Bittar, Thornton Bregazzi, Alberta Frerretti, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Christian Louboutin, Elena Mirò, Stefania Pia, Jil Sander, and Screaming Mimi’s NYC. Oh, and by the way, Marquita is drop dead gorgeous, which never hurts. Please visit Vogue.it to watch the complete video portrait of Marquita Pring. Also be sure to check out Marquita’s Monday feature on The Cut‘s “Take Five.”
